Nothing beats going to school
Nothing beats going to school
The style of education during the pandemic is something new
to me. Although I have heard of it before, I never really tried it and I was
impressed by it. I believe that the quality of education during the pandemic
has gone down. But it can still be the same as before if we try harder.
Because
studying has gone online, students do not have to work as hard as before. The
tasks given to them weekly become more predictable and limited. But without
face to face I doubt that the students will learn anything this school year. Going
to school is the best public policy tool available to raise skills. While
school time can be fun and can raise social skills and social awareness, from
an economic point of view the primary point of being in school is that it
increases a child’s ability. Even a relatively short time in school does this;
even a relatively short period of missed school will have consequences for
skill growth. The impact on academic
integrity has been observed around
the world. A rise in contract cheating and academic file-sharing, and
exam cheating were identified as particularly problematic. The
system DepEd has developed is flawed because cheating is more possible today
than before. It is up to the students if they will restrain themselves from
committing these wrongful actions. But it is in our nature to take the easy way
out. The saddest thing in the world is
wasted talent, and there are many on that road because they are lazy, and they
cheat themselves from what they could possibly achieve in life. Be the one that
has the courage not to do what is easy, because everyone can do that. I believe
DepEd should allow locations without infections of Covid-19 to let students
study back in school. The global lockdown of education institutions is going to
cause major (and likely unequal) interruption in students’ learning;
disruptions in internal assessments; and the cancellation of public assessments
for qualifications or their replacement by an inferior alternative.
What can be done to mitigate
these negative impacts? Schools need resources to rebuild the loss in learning
once they open again. How these resources are used, and how to target the
children who were especially hit hard.
Because
of Covid-19 the quality of education has gone down. Disadvantaged families try
their best to buy their children gadgets that they can use for their online
schooling. DepEd should not disappoint them and should strive harder to better
the quality of education.

Great opinion, we have the same queries about the families who are in need of resources or reliable materials to use for their children. Its just that we have to be resourceful now.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. Students have now free access to cheating. Parents trying their hard to buy their children gadgets. As a student, I am really struggling about the tasks given to us and the amount of it and the time span that is given is too short
